Raksha Bandhan celebration – Raksha Bandhan is one of the most spiritual festival in India . This festival is  considered as  one of the most famous and bond of love and respect between brother and sister. Raksha Bandhan (also known as Rakhi Purnima, Rakhi festival) is an ancient Indian festival.

Raksha Bandhan Celebration :

On the day of Rakhi,  sisters prepare the puja thali with diya, roli, chawal, rakhi thread and sweets. Women wake up early morning on this day, they also prepare delicious food and sweets for their brothers. The ritual begins with a prayer in front of God, then  sisters tie a thread (known as Rakhi) on the wrist of their brothers and mark a tilak on their forehead.  And take the promise from their brothers to protect them from all obstacles of life. Then sisters offer the sweets to their brothers and wish for their happiness, safety, success  and well-being. In return, the brothers appreciate the love with a promise to stand by their sisters through all the good and bad times. The brothers promise to always protect their sisters. Brothers also bring  gifts for their sisters.

This festival is celebrated on the full moon day of the Hindu month of Sawan in India.
